There's nothing wrong with the word "reading", but it has always struck me as passive.

And really, reading is anything but. When I read, I'm exploring. I'm traveling through alternate worlds, alternate realities. What was, what may be. What could never be, and yet is... between the covers of a book.

To paraphrase X MINUS ONE: A million could-be years on a billion may-be worlds.

When I walk into a bookstore, a library, or even my office, there is a multiverse of possibilities on those shelves. Each book is a universe.
